Lt. Col. Robert N. McNatt, U.S. Army Ret., 88, formerly of Kingswood Manor in Orlando, FL and recently of Deland, FL, passed away on June 19, 2017. He was born to the late Floyd and Alene McNatt in Jacksonville, FL on April 24, 1929. Commonly nicknamed “Colonel,” Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired from his service in 1969. Throughout his military career, he was stationed in many different places including Germany, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and Iran. Lt. Col. Robert N. McNatt, U.S. Army Ret., 88, formerly of Kingswood Manor in Orlando, FL and recently of Deland, FL, passed away on June 19, 2017. He was born to the late Floyd and Alene McNatt in Jacksonville, FL on April 24, 1929. Commonly nicknamed “Colonel,” Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired from his service in 1969. Throughout his military career, he was stationed in many different places including Germany, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and Iran. Robert also retired from Southern Bell as a Construction Supervisor after over 20 years of dedicated work. He was as an avid fisherman and preferred Redfish and Snook fishing in Chokoloskee, FL. Robert was also a member of the VFW Post 2093 and the Korean War Veterans Association. He was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, father-in-law, and friend to many and will be deeply missed.



Robert was preceded in passing by his beloved wife, Maggie McNatt; his daughter, Sharon McNatt; and his brothers, Donald and Clyde McNatt.



He is survived by his sons, Bob McNatt and his wife Barbara and Chuck McNatt and his wife Carol; sister, Erma Jordan; 6 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.



Visitation will be held Thursday, June 22 at Baldwin Fairchild East Altamonte, 994 E. Altamonte Dr., Altamonte Springs, FL 32701 from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm. Service will follow at 12:00 pm. Burial at Glen Haven Memorial Park with full military honors following the service.



In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in memory of Robert to organizations benefiting Parkinson’s Disease research.



Arrangements are under the care of Baldwin Fairchild East Altamonte, an honored Dignity Memorial Provider.
