Szycher, Maj. Stanley Stanley went to be with his wife of 60 years, Doris, Wednesday, April 1, 2015. He was 94 years old, a WWII and Korean Conflict veteran fighter pilot. He was awarded the "DISTINGUISHED FLYING CROSS" and six "GOLD STARS" for extraordinary heroism in action against enemy forces in the Philippine Islands in 1944 and 1945. Szycher, Maj. Stanley Stanley went to be with his wife of 60 years, Doris, Wednesday, April 1, 2015. He was 94 years old, a WWII and Korean Conflict veteran fighter pilot. He was awarded the "DISTINGUISHED FLYING CROSS" and six "GOLD STARS" for extraordinary heroism in action against enemy forces in the Philippine Islands in 1944 and 1945. Stanley was born in Bayonne, NJ and lived in New Jersey until he and Doris moved to Altamonte Springs, FL in 2002 to be near Allene. Stanley was preceded in death by his wife Doris and brothers Mitchell and Edward. He is survived by sons Stuart in Houston, TX. and Douglas in Boulder, CO. and daughter Allene Maroney in Altamonte Springs, FL., Grandson Ben Szycher in Boulder, CO.. He was a loving husband and father. He will be greatly missed but his memories will live on in our hearts. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, April, 11, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home 994 Altamonte Springs Dr. Altamonte Springs, FL 32701.
